Unlimited Sessions - Where's the Profit in That?
Quite simply, we know what we are doing. We are highly experienced at helping people stop smoking, and we know how the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind conspire to keep the smoking behaviour going. We know how to get the conscious and unconscious parts to successfully communicate with each other, and that means you get to stop smoking quickly and easily.
What About the Withdrawal Symptoms?
There's no getting away from the fact that Nicotine is a highly addictive drug. However, informed opinion now believes that it's NOT the nicotine withdrawal symptoms that drive people to distraction. There are two parts to the addiction process: there's the chemical addiction to the drug nicotine, and there's the psychological dependency.
Chemical Addiction?
Nicotine is addictive because the withdrawal symptoms are unpleasant. Cigarettes made us smoke by making it unpleasant NOT to smoke.
Psychological Dependency?
After you take your last drag on a cigarette, the nicotine starts to leave your body and the chemical withdrawal symptoms start to rise. After a while the smoker lights another cigarette, and the chemical withdrawal symptoms vanish instantaneously. Logically, we can look at this process and say that the first drag on the cigarette caused the withdrawal symptoms (in turn caused by the previous cigarette) to vanish. However, the unconscious mind comes to a very different conclusion; it ignores the gradual rise of the chemical withdrawal symptoms, spots the sudden drop in chemical withdrawal symptoms, and decides that cigarettes are good for you because you get the relief. That is how we get psychologically dependent - our unconscious mind (out of our awareness) becomes convinced that cigarettes are good for us, and piles on the pressure to make you smoke.
